about jackson cabinetry
People always ask us how we got our name.
Is it the street your located on?
Is it named after your bird dog Jackson?
The answers are no. It was named after Gordon Jackson, my best friend, who died in 2010. He was a furniture maker long before I came into the picture. Gordon was a craftsman in the truest sense of the word. Lifelong friends, we always wanted to do work together in some form or fashion.
We were originally known as Jackson Custom Woodworks, makers of fine custom furniture in historic downtown Covington, Louisiana. We created Jackson Cabinetry to meet the growing demand for our kitchen and bath cabinetry.
Known for our unique finishes, we have built a reputation on quality and pride ourselves not only on our work, but maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. At Jackson Cabinetry, you are only limited by your imagination. We do not like to hem a customer into a select number of door styles and finishes. In fact, we encourage you to bring in photos, articles or anything that will convey to us the ideas you have in mind. We have a large selection of wood species to choose from for your doors and drawer fronts and even some exotic veneers for special applications.
The process is quite simple. First, make an appointment with one of our designers and we will come to your home and discuss your upcoming project. In the case of a remodel, we will either gather the measurements at that time or for new construction, use plans provided by you or your contractor/architect to produce our preliminary designs. From there we will meet again to discuss door styles, finishes and additional accessories that you might desire. This all can be done in a timely manner and we make it as pleasant experience as possible. We also coordinate between builder, architect and you to maintain the contact required for the free flow of information for a seamless transition.
